A special time to reflect on God's provision
This evening our elders led us in a Thanksgiving devotional. Through song, prayer, scripture, and encouragement, they made us feel welcome, focused on the strength of our college students, and how we demonstrate our thankfulness by being people with a giving heart. Other thoughts focused on how we show our thankfulness by using our gifts for service to others, demonstrating a grateful heart through personal growth and faithfulness, and showing thankfulness by sharing the good news of Jesus with others. We then reflected on the recent difficult challenges many in our church family have experienced, and how God is leading us through those challenges. We celebrated our gratitude for those who became new Christians just this past week. And we learned a few hours earlier that international Christians we have been supporting just reached safety after leaving life threatening situations they have endured for years. God has blessed us, and we are so thankful for His care and provision.
